The only ones I ever see here that call for open borders is when you cons use it as a fear-inducing dog whistle for your own pleasure.

Dems generally care about the rule of law, we tend to not elect painfully obvious crooks, pedophiles, nazis, religious hypocrites, and brazenly corrupt politicians like the republicans do on a sustained basis.

The conservative coalition mostly now includes those rejects who are a drag on society but the NRA and the 1% consider useful fools who can vote. You know, like you and your crew.

So before you proscribe liberals as being for open borders, you should probably look at what you are electing, and have for a generation... people who rag on immigrants but yet profit from their labors. So you are part of Team Xenophobia but when no one is looking, hire them. You guys don't even know how to use fear any more.

I am for a Comprehensive Immigration Act similar to the one that was proposed in 2013 by a bi-partisan committee.

Unfortunately that one died in the House.

My feelings regarding that is as I said before. The Republicans need their boogeyman to rise up before elections so they don't really want to come to an agreement on any kind of Immigration Reform.

This will continue to be a battle that does not get resolved.

conix, if you could state the immigration laws you see as not being enforced, that would help your cause.

"Repealing immigration laws that are not enforced?"

I get the feeling you are operating more from a mix of emotion, ideology and a general misperception of the law.
