She hates the politicization of the whole transgender issue. She also is against parents who "support" their child's "certainty" that they should be the other sex. As she has said a number of times, she has met those in her community that have suffered from "transgender regret".
My sister transitioned in her 30's and. although not ecstatic, seems to be happier than struggling with her issues privately.
