jjz - reasonable post. I'll add one more point.. life is good and regardless of what happens with RIM, even a $200,000+ loss won't effect that. I pulled the trigger on the orders over the past 10 yrs, but RIM is responsible for the years of bogus PRs and one on one conversations they've had with investors like myself. Of course we both know that they are unlikely to pay the proper price for their actions. Life isn't fair, but it was never promised to be so. In the end, it is what it is, and I won't/don't lose any sleep over it.
I'll continue to call a spade a spade however.
I wish RIM had its act together and could do what they claim they intend to do. The unfortunate part is they are at best swimming against a very strong current and they're doing it on a shoestring budget, without deep pocket support. If they blew away in the wind tomorrow, which is more likely than not, the telco world, the world in general, wouldn't even know they had been here IMO.
RIM needs to put up or shut up.
