Apparently you are quite "hooked in" to the mindset and mythologies of partisan politics... Frankly, I prefer neither the "Gambinos" or the "Genoveses" running their protectionist rackets with me. I don't buy into either, but I will use one against the othr when the imbalances grow too great.
