Shallbetter Industries (Pink Sheets:SBNS) President, Bruce Pridmore is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. David Strong as Head - Technical Advisory Committee for Shallbetter. Dr. Strong comes with stellar background in earth sciences and geology as well as a very strong background in geological discovery. Dr. Strong is currently president of University Canada West. Dr. Strong will assemble and direct a geological discovery team for the company that will focus on the existing gold property as well as energy related properties in both Coal and Uranium. From 1990 to 2000 Dr. Strong held the position of President and Vice-Chancellor at the University of Victoria, during which he concentrated much of his energy on promoting partnerships and interaction between Canada and countries and institutions throughout Asia. He chaired the Science Review Panel for the BC Offshore Moratorium on oil and gas exploration, and recently completed a national report on Access to Scientific and Research Data resulting from research funded by the Government of Canada. He has served two terms each on both the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council ("NSERC") and the National Research Council (NRC) of Canada, the Research Council of the Canadian Institute of Advanced Research, the Standing Advisory Committee on University Research of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada, and the Premier of British Columbia's Advisory Council on Science and Technology, and the Board of Trustees of the St. Michaels University School in Victoria BC.
