Bush stumps as new poll released

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush is campaigning for Western Republicans today amid worrisome indicators from a new poll

A CBS News-New York Times survey suggests only 29 percent of Americans approve of the president's handling of the Iraq war. The numbers equal the lowest ratings of the Bush presidency.

A whopping 80 percent say Bush's latest approach to drumming up support for his Iraq campaign amounts to a "change in language but not policy."

Democrats have at least an 18-point lead in the poll of likely voters.

Bush is trying to help the struggling GOP in Montana and Nevada before heading to Missouri.
