Everyone in the U.S. only gets to deduct SALT taxes up to 10,000 ... Anyone above that does not ... It benefits the poor and middle class ... It hurts the Rich ....
Much like doubling the Standard deduction helps renters up to 12,000 as a Single tax payer, or 24,000 as a Married couple. Everyone gets their first 12,000 or 24,000 tax free. The child tax credit was also double from 1,000 to 2,000 dollars.
Obviously the rich is penalized from these moves ....
