In the old days when I had a board, there were 12,000 or 13000 posts on that board and not one deleted post. If there was a post that I considered offensive, I PMd the person & suggested that it be edited. I figured that if the person was too stupid not to edit it, the post should remain as a monument to his/her stupidity. Without exception, evey post that was questioned, was edited.
