If one has gone to any such technical/scientific conf, they know how pathetic some of these posters look. There are so many posters with all details that your brain becomes numb and you keep walking past each of them without paying much attention. In entire session, only few people stop and show serious interest. In fact visitors stop at big company posters due to articles already published.
You never know what will trigger someone's interest or capture their attention. They are out there presenting their case and hopefully will be able to make a difference in some suffering person's lifestyle. If you were suffering from IBD, or were a doctor who had patients suffering from IBD, or a company focused on this illness, and saw the IPIX poster, I bet your interest would be sparked.
