Dmd, I am not disputing your claims but just have some question to validate your theory.

Let say if WAMU had 172B of loans securitized, even at a tiny of beneficial interest of 1% because WAMU had to pay its investors, did WAMU have 1.72B of revenue from mortgage loans in the old days?

Because public companies cannot hide anything but have to report its assets and income.
