The difference, I believe, is that some of us can admit when they make a mistake or as you put it, did not know the facts.

There are others that look up to our fearless leader and, since they want to be just like him, will never admit when they are wrong.

According to them (and him) admitting when you are wrong or when you made a mistake is a sign of weakness.
