Hey Johnny...ALWAYS been an Orioles fan...hard to beat their infield from the late 60's early 70's..Boog Powell (He has a BBQ Pork sammich stand in the stadium now) Davey Johnson, Mark Belanger, and the Human Vacuum cleaner Brooks Robinson.
I was living in Norfolk VA for the 69 World Series...listened to the games on the radio and was heart broken with the loss to the upstart Mets...they redeemed themselves in 70 over the Reds...
THAT being said...the 4-0 sweep of the Dodgers in the 66 series was awesome...the only difference in the infield was Luis Aparicio at SS instead of Belanger...THOSE were the days...:-)
Sad to see us set a team record for the number of losses this season...:-(
I remember that Dodger combo well. Those were great days. The boys lost yesterday but to no great significance such as a breakdown or lack of team hustle. In my opinion it was like the song, "Just one of those things>"
As to today's market action, the high flying SQ took a pretty big hit today of over 8%, However, that was a comeback from the share price being down over 11% at its low point.
