In a letter to the monitor, Visolis president Deepak Dugar said the new joint venture would own and operate the Sarnia plant.

Along with succinic acid, it intends to produce other “higher value products with significantly higher margins” at the site.

“This will help improve the profitability of consolidated operations significantly,” Dugar says in the letter.

Let me add to that, do you REALLY think a a new entity/JV step in, buy the plant, vocalize their intent to manufacture the very same product, and not own the company and patents?

You REALLY think this new company is just going to go ahead an re-invent the wheel, and find another way to produce succinic acid on their own? Does that make ANY sense at all?

Of course it doesn't. They own the company, and the patents. And they will resume operations for this 'highly profitable' product.
