Pretty much agree on China, but I'll reiterate that our trade deficit is one problem with several causes. Of course, as has been pointed out, if we want the Chinese to keep pretending to admire our nonexistant new clothes, we have to be nice to them.
As for the tax-jobs issue, I think that any serious economist would have said that the higher the "velocity" of the tax cuts (the faster the beneficiaries spend the money on real goods, as opposed to just inflating asset prices), the better it is for jobs. Tax cuts for the less wealthy (or outright grants for non-taxpayers), have higher velocity...
