I don't have any gains yet this year, working my full time job and trading in the same time when I can.

I heard, you can return max $3K if I file taxes for both of us in the same time, but need to close out trade 30 days before end of the year or I can hold the position through 2019 and file loss at end of the year - since I still have opened position...
