Do you think the interest rate for the past 10 years would be around 0195%?

Were these Residual Certs held by WMB/WMBfsb directly or by their SPE subs???

For Safe Harbor protections to apply those assets could not be held by either bank as they would be susceptible to seizure.

WMI, as the parent would imo have a full or partial interest in the returns from these Certs.

Dm

Forgive me but I’m completely and utterly lost with all of this...

Are you suggesting that each common escrow share is worth $36.10?

I was led to believe markers ARE NOT shares so how can this be?

This is sooooo confusing...

When do u anticipate I can see all my millions in my accounts?
The wife is asking daily now....

Dmdmd2020, I think those numbers are best case scenario. Remember, there has been a lot of mortgage refinancing during the last 10 years so not all the MBS will be liquidated at full value. Its not clear what the put back clauses are for the portfolio for early payoffs on the loans. But even at a 50% discount on those numbers comes out to about $86B...which is surprisingly close to the conservative estimate from Dr. A.

Re: 2) I’m going to use the lower value of $692 billion securitized from 2000-2008 (per the 2010 congressional subcommittee hearing) instead of $1.616 trillion total securitizations since inception of MBS Trusts

Questions for you.

1) Loans come and go, i.e. they are getting refinanced or paid off. And then continuing on to 2018, the number is further diminished. Banks usually write new loans to replace old loans that expire and WAMU cease to operate in 2008.

2) How did you get the amount of securitizations? Is it detailed in the congressional hearing? Because in a different testimonial, a WAMU VP described the criteria that WAMU used to select which loans are securitized. I like to use a low number of 5%.

DM, Do these numbers exclude the payment from JPM for 'book value'?
