#1711 RE: Aiming4 #1708

I leave it at this: I wanted clarification, and I got it, but now -- ignorance is bliss =)

I had a nagging feeling in my gut concerning the length of the initial three month toxicology studies, suggesting to me that something was cropping up. I would also guess there is a 50-50 chance of success to get a low impact ampakine. But, I'm also a bit worried about class-side effects vis-a-vis the low impacts--and this is the worst case scenario. Now, Stoll mentioned this was not the case, but has any low impact gone through as much strenuous testing? More question have been raised than answered. The fault here is not with Dr. Stoll. That can be corrected; the problem may be with ampakines themselves . . . the supposedly 'safe' low impact ones. The issue may not be clarified by December of this year or next year. And the logic of the FDA is allowing the hold to be lifted in the first place is a bit confusiong. The only blue lining might be is that the FDA wouldn't have lifted the hold in the first place--but even my assumption here is in question. Strange, one feels more in the dark now than in April of 2006. Sad.
