Update: Reportedly Dutton has the numbers (now) but does not actually have the 43 required signatures on the petition. Apparently some of those who have pledged support to him don't want to sign the petition as in doing so they would be seen publicly that they are on board with the move to unseat Turnbull from the leadership. That position is, i guess, a politically pragmatic position to take for some, yet personally it looks a bit weak.
