All rural towns do the same thing. Citizens pay for the infrastructure and are only charged if they are hooked into the supply.

Works the same way with electricity. lol.

sortageen, Where do you live where they allow people to dump toxic wastes on their property? Most all have laws for that and products sold that are toxic contain instructions for proper disposal of such.

Maybe you should invest in a RO unit which removes a lot of junk.

I've had one for at least 30 years and use that water for drinking and cooking.

Might not be a 100% but I'm sure it's worth the money.

But people hooked up to town water are charged for it.



and....they should pay rates that cover the cost of providing that water and any future infrastructure improvements necessary without requiring those residents not serviced by the system to pay taxes to improve the system.
