I reported the bug, I was successful signing up on the website on my laptop, then could log into the app.

(11:55:10) Visitor 20434901: for Android, when signing up by phone, you enter the phone number it sends an SMS code immediately but then error, also could not sign up by the Facebook link either. However I did go to the website, signed up on a pc, then logged in my phone, it sent an SMS, I entered it and am now on the app on my phone.

I haven't tried but my buddy has the app on his phone and it works just fine. So it's the real deal.
