How about not allowing lax gun laws in Indiana to result in the streets of South Chicago being flooded with high powered hand guns?
Amen! I've been saying that for years. Sadly I turned on the news this morning to find out that 47 people in the city have been shot since Friday night.
Then I think of the one hundred thousand people that have been funneling into and out of Grant Park for Lollapalooza in the last four days and I'm grateful that they have not been affected by what goes on in these fringe neighborhoods.
Unless you're looking for drugs, a cheap prostitute or both then you have no reason to venture into those neighborhoods unless you are unfortunate enough to be stuck living in them.
I would add the unregulated gun shows to the list, where I could go buy an AR-15 or 4 on the spot with no background check. I don't begrudge anyone wanting to own a firearm, I have a concealed carry permit myself. I just don't understand why people feel the need to amass a small arsenal and why they are not on the radar for doing so.
Nobody is coming for your guns, we just don't want them winding up in the wrong hands which is all to often the case.
