you said: "To be honest, I've never really understood the nature of the explanation, "we don't want to give away trade secrets to our competition." How an anomaly in a patent-protected compound of Cortex is giving away the kitchen sink doesn't seem like a full explanation."

We know Lilly has had ampakine problems and has been stopped by the FDA. For all we know that's why COR was stopped.

Since Lilly isn't helping COR (seems the opposite), why should COR help Lilly (potentially) by being completely open about what the FDA concerns have been?

I think Stoll has handled it completely right so far.

"We've had a surprise six months ago. Then Cortex cleaned up its act, met with the FDA, hired consultants, did the proper studies, and the hold was lifted with agreed upon dosages and time frames."

Just FYI, I've owned COR off and on since '02. I know all about gut-wrenching suprises - which is why lukewarm/bad news (dosing restrictions which indicate a "CYA FDA") wouldn't phase me. If the fundamental reasons I bought the company remain the same, I won't sell.

"Stoll maybe feels another way and may simply gloss over the issues. Fine. But if the Feds continue strong arming tactics in December . . . or if the goal posts are inched down further into the end zone, I think the stock will suffer. I think all of these perceptions can be cleared in a press conference.

I disagree with you, that "all perceptions can be cleared." Yes, I want answers, too, but if the problem was an overworked or bullying FDA, do you really expect him to reveal that? I don't want Stoll even whispering something negative about the FDA in public. Ambiguity for accuracy may be prudent at this stage in the game.
