My redneck side took over, and I borrowed an incubator from a friend.
The first attempt was a total failure. Two hatched out late, and they weren't healthy. This time, I took the advice of my friend and did things a little different.
Today is the 21st day. So far, out of 41 eggs? 5 have hatched, and there are chips on at least 5 more.
The chicks need to dry off in the incubator, before being placed in the brooding pen. Here are three that are dried off. These are a little young to be called "day olds", more like just a few hours from hatching.
