Steve, even if the system was not proprietary, it is simply impossible on every fork in the road (and that is what I presume most systems consist of, forks with assigned probabilities), people will have to write a dissertation how they came about those numbers. Like that number of 1940 (see an early July post like #msg-1185827, or the same target from last November #msg-565211 and msg-602499) I have as the main resistance to this upthrust, that number was generated by the model as the top off the late 2001 move (and was taken out by a solid 140, see an exchange with aj last August #msg-448560) the latent elements that still keep it there are similar to other numbers like the 1757 which was a "forecast" of the May top last year (and this year, in the next few weeks, may serve as a latent support on the next bump down). "Targets" and directional changes do not come from the same model. First a map of the general direction is prepared, that for very short term (a day) medium term (up to six weeks) and longer term (typically six months) (and that is from a complex set of correlation transform equations), once that map is ready and seems to work (some times it does, like the daily map for today and yesterday worked relatively well, some time it does not), the extent of moves and some details of the move are derived from the chart behavior, they involve in most cases prior history of "congestion, and typical Fibonacci retracements (corrected for overshoots derived from the directional map). And as you see, just trying to explain some of the principles, took a dissertation, I for one could not do so that everyday, nor even when I suggest a longer term pattern. If people are frustrated, that can be only because they are not willing to think independently and derive these from their own models. Surely it would be unfair (and groundless) to "demand" from AJTJ, Jeff or myself to come up every day with not only what we happen to think the direction and the size of a move might be, but also add to that all the reasoning (and some time, the reasoning is faulty and instinct comes into play).
