Funny you should ask.

http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/325389

Take a look at the study. A good example of why Fox News viewers are the least informed is one of the questions in the study, 'who initiated the Arab Springs.' Fox News viewers were far less intelligent than people whom watched no news because they thought Barrack Obama was responsible for the Arab Springs. That's the idea Fox pushed every day.

If your suggesting Fox is actually fair and balanced than you are a loyal consumer of propaganda. It's not that Fox is conservative or that MSNBC is liberal. Both those statements are obviously true, but any power should have an opposition. That's not bad. The part which is truly bad is Fox is not actual journalism. Journalism means you go out find a story, investigate, source, confirm, run it by lawyers and editors before it goes to print. You may have a liberal or conservative bent in your search for stories, but either way journalism follows the story.
What Fox does is not follow the story. They make up a narrative every morning and push it all day long. Sure they have opposition on their programming, but they also know that without a token opposition, which never gets prime billing, then people won't swallow the propaganda. The talk shows are already scripted for the liberal points of view, usually occupied by a minority, to first infuriate the conservative audience before liberals ineffectually loose. It's theater not journalism. That's why Fox News viewers are the least informed, most paranoid because fear is a powerful manipulator, and least connected to reality.
