Sorry to say, that I do not know the answer to both of your questions. I have not followed the company closely, but I do know that they also are developing a synthetic version of Human Lactoferrine (hlF1-11), where they seem to be somewhat overlapping with Pharming's rhLactoferrin.
As to the sepsis story of AM-Pharma, their approach sounds plausible, but that is all I can say (as a layman).
