I realize that legislative probes are distinct from Mueller. I agree that they should not be closed hearings, they have lowered the transparency level so far that they don't even like the meetings to be bipartisan. The funny part is that every time something happens in the secret meetings that is favorable to trump (there isn't much) they run right out to the cameras. When nothing leaks, it is like confirmation that the news is bad for trump.
And the gang of eight is spineless. Who the hell died and left them to decide what we the American public are allowed to hear. Trump's own attorney gets to go into a closed door hearing but I can't?
So they can't come out of the meeting and tell us what they heard but Trump's lawyer can go running back to Trump and tell him what he heard.
