I didn't try to get the call to place - I assume since you can just click on a telephone number on a smartphone that that code is simple so I didn't bother with it.

Totally agree that this is just bare bones. I was surprised though because it seems like the interactivity and scrolling the walkouts on iphone with interactivity is what has been pushed as being the 'proprietary' part, and certainly is what gets the excitement going in people.

It was kind of fun to do and see the same kind of end result.

But, I'm under no delusions. This probably is only a fraction of what is required. Although I will say that anyone can see the javascript NFUSZ uses. It appears to not be extensive at all. And the sections for doing things like downloading a file are just a few dozen lines. I have a hard time seeing how the programming can be much either - mine wasn't. Just php too. But probably SOMETHING takes it into the millions of lines. Perhaps it is scalability. I just don't know.

Surely the magic is in all of the other things they have brought to the products.

The biggest hurdle, 'to scale' consuming most of sections of coding interaction, several thousand groups from a few lines each to several hundred or more. Now throw in A.I and Analytics....again to 'scale' takes up the better brunt of the coding and interaction of sectioned thousands of tasks, also ranging in small blocks to several hundred or more lines each. I've been writing code, programs for right at 30 years. Also programs for various robot manufactures and PLCs, Allen Bradley and Square D. I could do an interactive video solution, with those features proferred.....but it would not be to 'scale'. I mean some people who've been invested for less than a month understand that concept. I would be totally embarrassed and ashamed to post that I've accomplished such and it created 'concern'. Mainly because I would lose all integrity by demonstrating I truly do not 'know what I own'.

There is a big difference between mocking up a few features vs. building a full blown app that can scale to millions of users, perform well and work on every platform, browser, device, form factor, etc.

The code to mock up a few features is opensource and easy to make a few features work in one browser.

I can mock up facebook pretty quickly with a few features as well. If Ted is not even a subscriber, he doesn't have visibility into what the product can do and how easy it is to use.

There was another poster that called the product a video editor which was funny.
