Pity lonely James Comey. Republicans aren't joining his fight for decency

Jill Abramson

Plenty of high-level Republicans privately think Trump should be removed from office.
But they remain silent, even as the former FBI director tries to lead the way

James Comey clearly hoped his televised interview on Sunday would be a go-signal for other principled Republicans to break
away from Donald Trump and denounce him. In the interview, Comey declared Trump to be “morally unfit to be president”, and
compared him to a mafia don, someone without a scintilla of decency. He provided evidence to support these harsh words.

Undoubtedly Comey is an honest and decent man.

Colin Powell never said he had a private server. He had an e-mail that he used occasionally--not exclusively--for government communications. Inappropriately.

But no set up of an e-mail server in his closet.
