As a former medicinal grower, your math only holds up for an organic hydroponics set up under powerful lighting. Outdoor crops are much much cheaper to produce. Cali and Colorado have great growing seasons for outdoor crops. Here in the Northwest we rely more heavily on indoor grows due to the rainy seasons and subsequent mold issues.
