Before I read any further, I want to say congrats! Your Preds have been kicking butt, and I wish you nothing but the best. FWIW? I feel the same way this year as I do every other year the Blues get beat. It's time to be fishing on those ponds, not skating on them.
I haven't been following the playoffs, been too busy working nights and weekends. I'm too familiar with how good Forsberg is.
My add on that NFL conversation is two fold.
1.) When a team is mediocre like the Titans have been? They get later draft picks. This keeps them mediocre. Good enough to make the playoffs, not good enough to advance. The Chiefs did it for years with Dick Vermiel.
2.) For the most part, the talent level in the NFL is there for every team. It's a matter of coaching and execution. There's a reason why Pittsburgh and New England are perennial powerhouses.
I really thought the Blues and the Chiefs both had what it took to win it all. Truth is, I don't know shit. Doesn't stop me from trying though.
Will you have any free time during the Renaissance festival? The in-laws are planning on attending. I'm thinking about going and fishing. If you aren't available? I'll show the local rednecks how a real fisherman catches catfish.
