You are right. The private investors have added pocket change many of us have thrown in retirement funds. I understand the market is volaitle but I have friends who lost everything in Laidlaw when the "canadian" company went bankrupt moved it across the border and they are still moving freight but they beggared the people who gave them the money to start the company.
