You can see in the 2006 figures that they do expect Intel to impact AMD this year. But if you look at 2007, it's as if they expect Core 2, et al to be ineffective going forward. Perhaps they expect AMD to execute perfectly with Barcelona/Altair, launch them in Q2, have as big a lead over Core 2 as Core 2 has over K8 today, and ramp these quad core behemoths into high volume overnight. Otherwise, how would AMD post such impressive gains?
It's all part of the reason why I think AMD stock will tank as soon as the realization comes to the bulls that AMD's magic sauce didn't come from AMD, but rather from Intel's lack of execution over previous years. It will be a stark realization for some, and probably quite expected for others. ;-)
