It’s hard to project because they will be using golars new Mark 2 design, which is cheaper to build. Everyone assumes that these ships will cost around 2b each but given the new design I feel we could see that price point come down to 1.7-1.8b per ship. There’s only a select few people who have those numbers in front of them currently though.
The beautiful thing about Delfins business plan is the operation is scalable based on the amount of ships they need to cover their contractual obligations. Rusty is working feverishly to have enough contracts already in place to build the 4 ships that he originally projected. There’s no reason for them to stop there though. Once revenues and more contracts start rolling in there’s no hard limit to the amount of ships we could utilize, Solely due to the offshore design that will be in place.
