A cocoon that yields more silk IS good news. Visually it looks bigger, but we do not specifically know what % more this cocoon increases silk in terms of yield and it seems pretty clear from the PR they have no knowledge of the performance of the silk from these new larger cocoons but they are very interested to find out. Maybe they are supplying fiber only to the Army from these new cocoons for performance testing.
