Many people don't "tune in" to QVC. They keep it on hours a day...sometimes all day, to see what new products will be introduced.

That's what members of my family do, anyway.

And the cooking and food product segments are some of the most popular.

How many viewers does QVC have?

QVC hosts talk about “reaching” 110 million homes. if one tenth of one percent of those are watching QVC at any given time then the have 110,000 viewers. I suspect their actual viewership to be far higher. I have watched as over 110,000 orders have been placed in a single hour. Not recently, but it has happened. I still remember Dooney & Bourke’s first show on the channel. 10,000 bags in one style went out the door in less than five minutes. It was like sharks and a feeding frenzy.

Even with a traditional audience tuning in, it makes no sense why there is so much insider selling. They must know something...
