EBAY and AMZN were doing tankeroos today. AMZN after hitting a 52 week high, even after a big bounce into the close still closed down over a $1. YHOO was going out on the lows until it got bounced in the last minute.

NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Merrill Lynch Internet Holdrs (HHH) rallied to a high of $43.40 in intraday trading, a level not seen since
July 2001, but has since pulled back to traded down 58 cents, or 1.3 percent, at $42.57. Among the sector tracking stock's most-heavily weighted components, EBay (EBAY) fell $2.10 to $52.65, Yahoo (YHOO) lost 33 cents to $33.86 and Amazon (AMZN) gave up 57 cents to $46.76. Those stocks were up as much as 60 cents, 21 cents and 42 cents, respectively, earlier in the session. Amazon's early gain led the stock to the highest price seen -- $47.75 - September 2000.
