Friday night at uwink..
My wife and I arrived @ 7:00PM. Nice size crowd and more people came as the night progressed. Enthusiastic “wait staff” as well as patrons. Saw the General Mgr., Asst. General Mgr. Director of Operations, some food executives, etc. They were all eager for suggestions and comments.
We were seated at a table with the touch screens. (Not all screens installed yet). The menu portion of the screen has pictures of each item, their ingredients, & they will have a separate screen for nutritional values. We weren’t able to order from the screen at this time, however we were told that they would be operational next week.
The other components of the screen had the games for adults and kids. We were also told that there would be “in-house” games that would be played using the videos that were projected on the walls throughout the restaurant. When you are ready to check out, you can receive your tab on screen. If needed, you can split your tab “on screen” and detail who pays for what items.
The food was very good. I had a fried calamari appetizer which came with crispy tempura style vegetables tossed in. Tasted excellent. My wife had crispy tune roll, which she really enjoyed.
Our entrees chosen from the “tasting” menu were Korean Skirt Steak and with coconut ginger rice and steamed vegetables, and Chicken Provencal over couscous with vegetables as well
Desserts were wonderful (!) - warm chocolate cake with ice cream, and crispy apple tart with ice cream. We had cappuccinos which were also excellent. The service was better than great…very attentive, eager to help and answer any questions.
Cocktails were superb-great martinis.
No one will be complaining about the food, and the prices will be reasonable.
Can’t wait ‘til next week for the full experience.
We are two stock holders who feel confident that our investment will appreciate and prove to be fruitful.
