Are you sure they are subjected to a "cease Trade Order"? It may be that they have a "Restricted" legend that must be removed. When they were issued as part of the spin off, they were issued as Restricted Shares, that were to be held for one year, before they were eligible to become free trading shares. You might want to check back with your broker about that. Fernhill is up to date with all financial reports. A lack of financial information is generally the reason for a Canadian Cease Trade Order (although there are many other reasons as well).
As far as I know, Fernhill spinoff shares are still not tradable for most American share holders as of yet.
