Purl,

Go to the Dekalb County Online Judiciary site and search for Steven Canady under the criminal case search links. There is a statement that the cases for check fraud were dismissed by the courts. The details are in the bottom links on the case file.
In order to shorten your time frame, here is the link: http://www.ojs.dekalbga.org/servlet/page?_pageid=182,285&_dad=portal30&_schema=PORTAL30&....

I like you Purl, but the info presented by Roddy Boyd about the check fraud against Canady was incorrect. You will have to call the Secretary of State in Missouri to check out the Canady Holdings case. When I followed up on it after the NY Post article, I was told that the case was open and evidence had been presented to counter the initial order. I was also told that the State had not officially issued a fine or criminal charge just an order to show cause.
I still do not believe in CSHD, but please don't follow bad information. We academics are bound by our need to pursue factual information.

Purl, both the original and the fake "confessions" were posted here on IHUB.

Thetruth101 (author of the first letter) was booted by Matt because he used a multiple alias.

Here's the good part:

Bartscambuster, the author of the second "confession" - was NOT booted for multiple aliases. He's gone now, but his alias was active for at least a month following the re-post.

Based on that, and other information in the second letter, I strongly believe these were two different posters. The first one was authentic - the second had a little misinformation added (email and bogus last name) so that the pumpers could prove it was a hoax.

Also - this bogus last name "Eisenweiner" - is clearly Jewish. Another way to draw attention off of the Bible Pumpers.

Convenient for them, eh?

;)
