As a company, you don't sell your main money makers. The fabs would have to be idle for long periods of time, and Intel would have to be in dire financial trouble, for them to even consider selling them. But with billion dollar quarters again and again for Intel, I don't see a situation where they would fall into financial trouble in the short term. At least, not short enough for AMD.
I know that the probability for my statement is close to zero ;)
