The Cogosense solution is not outdated and is vastly superior to the built-in feature on your iPhone.

IPhone DD can be disabled by anyone without repercussions. You can STILL receive messages if the sender simply types URGENT.

It's as basic as you can get. The feature is just enough for Apple to claim some form of defense in a lawsuit. ;)
