Patent lawyers are very expensive, and there were 61 patents at issue in the case.



There is nothing that adds up to the amount of money you claim what was spent over a 9 month timeframe. Even at $1000 hr you're talking 236,000 hours dealing mostly with discovery. That is equivalent to 450 lawyers working at a rate of $1000/hr for 39 weeks straight. Not even remotely feasible.

Now it is possible that the bulk of the money you claim could have been part of the the 'settlement' that was reached, but we'll never know.
