Then Steve is in violation of SEC rules pertaining to Releasing Material Event News and giving out insider information.

The release of an Audited Financial is considered a material event, and him telling you on the phone that it Will Happen on a specific date means you have insider information. Does not matter if you then tell it to a message board or not...telling it on IHUB is not considered a public outlet for Material News by the SEC.

So to be clear, I would venture to say Steve never told you a thing, because of all the things he may or may not be, stupid is not one of them. And to give you insider info so you can blab it on a message board to set him up if someone wanted to pass it on to the SEC would be...well it would be stupid on his part.
