Also, when the DCR is distributed I expect that I will have a ZERO cost basis on those shares as I have used my entire AAMRQ cost as basis when I sold some AAL shares.
I read on AA investor site (can't find it now) that the escrow AAMRQ shares that have zero value as placeholder for the potential DCR distribution will be considered long term.
Are you sure Scottrade aren't talking about the AAMRQ escrowed shares?
