All the index futures 5 min had inv ghosts this morning. The 144 movement was the icing on the cake, it was nice to see the 144 CCI break the signal line for more comfort to take the counter trend trade.
The signal line is a (I am sure) smoothed average of the CCI. It is available on quotetracker. The default setting is 6 and that is what I have it on. (This is NOT the same as the CCI 6 setting, which is a very fast "turbo" that woodie uses to help draw trend lines.)
Will post a QQQQ chart after market closes so you can see.
I looked at a few days going back to Sept 19th and looked at several trades and find that using CCI12 on the 60 min chart you get better entries if you don't wait for the hourly candle to complete before entering..If you make the trade the second it crosses, you get better entries than with CCI144 on the 5 min chart. Just eyeballing it..I didn't actually do every trade using both..
