What I do know is the following 1 ) Grandview Research estimates that global medical MJ alone is a $55 B business with unmet need in many European countries 2) ArcView estimates that the Nth American legal weed market grew by 34% in 2016 to $6.9 B and should reach an estimated $21.6 B by 2012 3) Deloitte estimates that Canadian recreational use is at least $5B ( Canadian ).
So these are all big numbers and indicate there is a huge opportunity for large scale experienced companies with first mover advantage . Valuing Canopy on any recent quarterly report ( as you are prone to do ) is ridiculous. Canopy is about to experience ..in economic terms ...a demand shock ....once legal recreationally with strong illegal law enforcement , demand for their product will be charted like a hockey stick .
Recent stock price. ..late 2017 .. anticipates this
Large illegal operations will be shut down due to law enforcement which will be well funded due to Provinces receiving new tax revenue ...and by large companies using economies of scale and 4-5 harvests a year to drive down ( if necessary ) cost to the consumer .
In the meantime the stock price is likely to be volatile ...prone to investors emotions of greed and panic .
