It happened for the same reason it happened in Feb 2017 when I first bought. A LARGE influx of get-on-the bandwagon news. People afraid to miss out. California legalized. So 2 to 3 days of frenzy buying....then Jeff Sessions got jealous he didn't by any shares....spoke out against it....and the bubble burst (wherein he probably bought his shares lol.) The good news is, there will be lots and lots of waves like this up/down and sideways... before this company actually can show us what they are made of. And once all factors are in place it will be a steady ride to the top. Just have to ride out the "news" roller coasters in the meantime:) TWMJF and ACBFF have been steady wins on my portfolio....even though I had to ride out the lows over summer from the first news baiting in FEB 2017. I will probably buy my next batch at $15 if it goes down that far.
In other words...The chart run and drop was caused by factors in the US. We seriously need to get rid of Jeff Sessions over here. Had he not changed Obama era protections for state Legalization efforts last week the very day TWMJF/WEED hit its high, this temporary drop never would have happened. Not sure how much US news they are showing you in CANADA...
