But how can you borrow shares which are already in the float ? If I borrowed say 1M shares out of a 2M share float and then sold those back how would that make a difference to the stock price ?
tradewell....unbelievable! LOL "Borrowing shares illegally would be borrowing more shares than are in the float." We've got to send this in to Webster......ETrade glossary.......finally a definition for "illegal borrowing". Of course, if we stay just one share short of the float total, we're out scott free.....everything is legal. I just love your Finance 101A......everybody has got to take this course. LOL
