Exactly. That "poor reputation" is pretty subjective.

ADXS has a poor reputation going way back. They used shady boiler room promoters to pump up the share price under Tom Moore. They have managed to run trials for the past 15 years with only one recently making it to a phase 3 and even that one having an incredibly long trial duration. They did a reverse split which is almost unanimously looked upon unfavorably and which has deliver massive losses to long term shareholders. They have suffered from corrupt corporate governance as old CEO's from their penny stock days rule the roost and restrict proper direction. They have burned through massive amounts of shareholder equity with little regard for ever actually delivering a return to investors. There are a million reasons "the street" doesn't take this company seriously. Its a shame because the science is there and Dr. Petit is a great CSO.

Dew is right. O'Connor did a lot of damage to the company's reputation. Just look at the exodus of many of our largest holders and 40% vote against the latest comp proposal and comp committee. Rarely do public companies see this kind if opposition, which is why we have seen the stock collapsed and O'Connor stepped down. Lombardo is turning things around but it takes time. 2018 will be a much better year and the latest reduction in short interest is evidence, and there will be more covering in January for those waiting to pay lower taxes.

How bad the reputation is depends on how much your in the red or if your short, heehee. I don't feel the way many here do, company should have been more conservative on cash or negotiated a larger upfront payment on deals (1 Billion in deals so far) but then I don't know the milestone structure. Advancing the science, has approval for the pet bone cancer treatment, and is less about 13 months away from EMA decision.
The shorts are responsible for the ridiculous valuation. Have seen it many times and it's a great buying opportunity.
